Founders Day, zoom calls, and letting go

Enjoying the stimulation of a digital marketing consultation zoom call.

Today I woke up energized and extremely passionate. It may be because my health was back at 100%, it was the Founders Day of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., or I felt so loved. Regardless, I knew for a fact that this day was mine.

I spent a lot of my slumber in a nirvana state, visioning all the future feelings that I wanted to attract into my life. The result was that when my alarm went off, I still felt a bit tired. Because of this, I didn’t allow myself to get out of bed for the first 30 minutes of listening to my affirmations. I decided that I deserved the luxury of easing into this day, maintaining the feeling of bliss.

I decided how to add another half a mile to my running distance in my journal yesterday. I’ve realized that writing what my body will do in advance helps program my subconsciousness to follow the plan. What I don’t do is do the math to see if my plan is in alignment with my distance. The result was that I added a mile to my distance from yesterday vs. the half that I expected. I was so excited that I felt like Maxwell was serenading me.

Yesterday I told myself I had to do one thing at a time. So after my run, my one thing was to take a 10-minute break to tidy up my space. This decision helped me feel calm and collected and indicated that I needed to let go of the pressure to accomplish everything.

I felt so good that I decided to go my circuit training with E2M. The trainer was also celebrating Founders Day and wearing clothes representing our sorority. So I knew I had to get my jacket and do the same.

After that, I felt so good that I decided to repeat the cycle once more. In total, I did three workouts that morning and felt more energized and capable than I’ve felt in years. The lesson is that being in the present moment and not being distracted mentally or intellectually makes life easier.

Miracles and Wonders

  • Had a tremendous digital marketing consultation that left both of us inspired

  • Took a two-hour nap in the middle of the afternoon

  • Booked my day trip adventure to Boston

  • Completed three workouts all before 9 am

I kept the same strategy I used during my morning routine to jump into my work day. The result was that I felt more fulfilled completing my work tasks than I did all year. I know that we’re only in the second week, but it still counts. I feel like I found a way not to have my anxiety.

After I knocked out the three hours of tasks with amazing efficiency, clarity, and happiness, I spent most of the day in flow. I had many beautiful interactions with friends, randomly fell asleep, and finished setting up my day trip.

When it was time to have my final meeting of the day, I remembered a book I was recently listening to that recommended treating everyone as their most trusted advisor. So I gave this business owner as much insight as possible even though her stage was early. The result was that I felt so happy and valuable and blissful as I allowed myself to share my gifts with her without thinking about the financial transaction. I learned that this strategy is correct. At the end of the call, she told me that her dream is to reach a point where she’s successful enough to work with me. I was honored.

After that, I dove into preparing my house for my upcoming event and getting my mind right around all the miracles and wonders flowing my way.

Last, it was time to plan my getaway adventure. I was pulled to go to Boston (lobster), Philadephia (vibe), or Houston (family). But we’ll see how everything shakes out.
