Living through expectations and faith in the perfect day

Zoë Hart at Taboo Beach Club in Tulum, Mexico.

It was a complete day of bliss with the absence of fear, doubt, or any barriers to any desire. This day showed me how we each choose the experiences that we want.

I woke up in paradise, excited about everything amazing that was manifesting in my life. The new me can stick to her routine even when vacationing. I was super excited to find yoga mats, weights, and a step in our party room. So, after I wrote in my journal, I went to do my workout at sunrise.

While I was moving through my morning routine. Our chefs had arrived. They arrived in a group of 4 people with great attitudes, great skills, and the ability to make an entire gourmet meal and table display in less than an hour. When it was time to eat breakfast, I couldn’t believe what appeared before my eyes. The food was so beautiful.

All I have to say was the avocado toast was exceedingly delicious. Everything from the break to the quality of the avocado made our eyes roll backward in pleasure. We all know that quality food is essential, but there was something extra special about this breakfast prepared for the start of our day.

One thing I loved about this group trip was that there was never any pressure to rush. We moved at a leisurely pace, allowing people to do what they wanted to do when they wanted to. So that when it was time to come back together, it was manageable without hesitation or distraction.

Eventually, it was time to go to the beach club, a first for me. We would relax in a cabana, have drinks, and eat food by the ocean. I love the beach, so I was excited. The three of us were the first to arrive, so we had ceviche and cocktails at the restaurant while we awaited the rest of our group.

One of my favorite truisms about Tulum was the daily access to high-quality ceviche. Ceviche has been one of my favorite foods ever since the first time that I ever tasted it. It’s definitely one of the foods that I can enjoy happily daily. To me, this surprise filled me with giddy joy.

Eventually, we moved into the bliss of our afternoon.

The weather was perfect.

The company was perfect.

The location was perfect.

Miracles and Wonders

  • I let go and was completely myself for the entire day

  • It was one of the few times that I was able to sit on the beach and laugh at the same time. Typically these two joys are separate in nature.

  • Everything that I ate that day gave me energy and bliss.

Eventually, it was time to go home as our beach adventure at Taboo was complete. Our driver picked us up and took us back to our villa. I’m not sure who needed more time in the water, but we ended up having a champagne toast in the pool.

All I remember was getting out of the pool when I did a handstand, my wig fell off, and we all were cracking up laughing. I went to my room, and then time disappeared. I woke up to someone telling me I was missing salsa lessons and dinner. Somehow during my nap, the chefs had come back and cooked a glorious meal, and the dance instructors had arrived. I rushed out to get a plate of delicious food paired with a freshly squeezed strawberry margarita before I was summoned to the dance floor. I danced one bachata song before stealing away to eat more food. We laughed and communed for a while before I snuck off and went to bed. The rest of the crew had a grand adventure while I slept soundly at the end of this day, full of sensory exploration.

This was precisely the kind of day that I needed. No pressure, all bliss.
