Activated charcoal saves the day

Zoë Hart finishing her first workout post-recovery. It was dicey to say the least.

When I woke up at 5 a.m., I posted my sickness woes on Facebook. Luckily, I received many insightful responses.

I’m not sure about you, but when I feel better, I am extra hype. I want to do everything all at once. I have to calm down and relax to ease into the day. So, while I usually spend the first hour of the day listening to affirmations, I knew I was tossing and turning and not paying attention to the message. So, I decided that while listening to my affirmations, I would record an Instagram reel of my lower body circuit.

The funny thing about fitness videos is people don’t like evidence of sweat; I know because I recorded my actual workouts, and they don’t get as many likes as the pretend workouts. So, I had to record my workout first before I went all in on my routine. While I did try not to sweat, you can still see the evidence below. My body knows it needs to cool me down once I start.

After I finished recording, I did the full circuit 5 times and moved right into my abs circuit. I did my abs at about 70% as the abs and stomach go hand and hand. I took the activiated charcoal and felt so much better. So I started the day, feeling like a million bucks.

Miracles and Wonders

  • I woke up 90% recovered from my stomach woes

  • I completed 100% of my to-do list from today + 80% from yesterday without anxiety

  • I had creative time, which resulted in the creation of a fitness reel

  • I had my first company acquisition meeting of the year

  • My friend dropped by to knock off 5 items on my honey-do list :)

  • I was able to complete my lower body circuit + my abs circuit even though I was still a bit wobbly

  • I bought a full cart of groceries for $80

  • I was offered a free companion ticket on Delta. I decided that I was going to surprise one of my friends on a day trip.

After this, I was on it. I sent everyone cute bitmojis to let them know that I recovered, and then I settled into my three-hour work block. I wondered if I could do my 3 hours of work in 2.5 hours so that I could have my proper lunch break before the acquisition meeting. Luckily, my turbo drive kicked in, and I completed 100% of what I mapped out today and 80% from yesterday for my three companies. I’m not sure how I bent time, but ask and it is given is still valid.

During my lunch break, I went to the Dekalb Farmers Market, where I bought an entire cart of groceries for $80. That place was amazing, and I was home in plenty of time to make lunch and prep for my business meeting.

The acquisition meeting was terrific. I left the session feeling hopeful and renewed for everything I’ve built. The sadness about me not raising a series A is gone, and this new era of knowing that all things are on the divine path is here.

Later I convinced one of my friends to come over and help me with my honey-do list at my house. I sent him all these funny bimojis with me looking through the window and trying to lift heavy things by myself, and I’m sure the funny eye-roll convinced him to say yes. To my ultimate fulfillment, I usually only ask for three items on the list so I can ask again and get a yes. But I threw in some extra credit items after those three main times were done, and even though we both got cranky at the end, everything was beautifully done. I feel like my home is an entirely new place. I always feel this way when something that I envision comes to life.

Last, I called my girlfriend to ask her about her day. Before I jumped off the call, she asked if I wanted to fly somewhere this month as she would send me a companion pass on Delta. I said yes, but give me 24 hours to make a plan. I knew the Universe wanted me to go somewhere, and this was the ticket.
